„Die Diskussion über Wasserprivatisierung ist gänzlich außerhalb des Kontext“, erklärt der ehemalige Ministerpräsident (Syriza) nun. ABER: unter Syriza wurde im Jan. 2018 beschlossen, die Wasserwerke EYATH (Thessaloniki) u. EYDAP (Athen) zu 50% (+1 Anteil) in den Superfonds zu überführen. Die damals angestrengte Klage der Wasserwerker vor dem Staatsrat hat nun das Blatt gewendet.
„SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras opposed to the privatisation of Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP) on Tuesday during a meeting with EYDAP Workers‘ Federation, noting that ‚water is a public good, a human right and cannot be included in the sale process.“
He stressed that „certain goods, critical to human life and dignity, cannot be subject to the laws of the market, they cannot be marketable goods.‘ (…)“
